The Peloponnese is composed of the prefectures of Arcadia, Argolida , Corinth, Lakonia and Messinia. Also geographically from the prefectures of Achaia and Ιlias.
The Peloponnese is situated in the south of Greece, and stretches along the Isthmus of Corinth Canal with the same name. The Peloponnese is mainly mountainous and hilly, but has many mountains and fertile plains. The population is about 640,000 people and capitals is Tripoli.
There are important beaches, forests, mountains and has a lot of tourists throughout the year. 26 of these beaches have been awarded the blue flag. We also have a number of archaeological monuments, museums, monasteries etc.
The average temperature in the Peloponnese range between 5 degrees Celsius (41F) in January to 24 degrees (74F) during July and August. The summer tourism takes mainly from May to October with peak months in July and August.
The Peloponnese can be reached by plane to Athens or Kalamata airport.
