 Crete is the largest Greek island (8300 km2), with a rich history and cultural heritage. It was the center of the Minoan culture, Europe's first civilization (2700-1420 BC). The terrain of Crete are spectacular with 3 main mountains, plateaus, canyons, rivers and caves.

Crete is divided into 4 prefectures. Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion and Lasithi. The island offers beautiful beaches, with 97 of those awarded the blue flag. The multitude of archaeological monuments, museums, monasteries, and high environmental value natural destinations.

In Crete you can enjoy marine sports such as theme parks, water skiing, windsurfing, pedal boats and sports such as tennis, basketball, volleyball, golf, hiking trails, etc.

Average temperatures in Crete range from 11 degrees Celsius (52F) in January to 26 degrees (79F) during July and August. Tourism in Crete mainly lasts from May to October with peak months July and August.

In Crete you can arrive by plane at the airports of Heraklion and Chania. Also by ferry from Piraeus.
